this is a really good one and something that often gets conflated influence = attention + reputation you can earn attention by being NOT reputable, by sharing fake news, and by optimizing for getting people to look at your content. You can have influence without any attention They coexist well, but we don't measure for reputation in Crypto today. Everyone measures credibility by attention, and as time goes on, it becomes more obvious how that attention is very "hackable" more on that here: https://www.ethos.network/post/credibility-is-cheap-in-web3

Reputation in Web3 isnât just about wallets and transactions, itâs about the people behind them. How does #Ethos make sure credibility stays real, canât be farmed, and actually matters across different communities? Can we finally build a âproof-of-stakeâ for human trust without recreating the same old Web2 gatekeeping? Will love to hear your thoughts @0x5f_eth @serpintaxt @ethos

that's really the whole point of Ethos tbh! Like, you just described everything that we care about and are trying to prevent from happening. It's all in the mechanism design from how invitations work, review system, vouching mechanisms, the score itself.

Love how the whole setup from invites to vouching actually means something. Would love to dive deeper and experience it. Any shot at an invite code? đ¤
