it seems like i cannot stop loving firebase, whatever I decide to code -after an attentive research- brings me back to it.
I tried Supabase but it's not quite there yet imho... do you guys have any other BaaS alternative that offer fine-grained permissions, edge functions and great SDKs?

I can understand your fondness for Firebase. Have you looked into AWS Amplify? It offers similar features and might be worth considering
