my understanding is that frames are composable apps that can live as posts on farcaster, so you can add more functionality than just regular posts

yes, imagiune a frame that is a slot machine with a smart contract back end that the owner can deposit coins into and users can gamble on, with diff payouts for triple 777s etc, or candy crunch that yields $candy when u play it, right on the timeline
