For those who are not aware, approximately 30 minutes before Trump announced the creation of a strategic cryptocurrency reserve, an interesting position was opened. A whale opened a long position worth $195.5 million in ETH and BTC with 50x leverage — a mere 2% drop in price would have been enough to liquidate the position. However, the market stayed flat during that time and then skyrocketed by a total of 30% in pure movement. As a result, this whale earned $3 billion. In my opinion, this is a clear case of insider trading, but who exactly opened this position remains unknown.
