The traditional concept of an album is evolving. Do you like where things are headed? Why or why not? https://www.businessinsider.com/spotify-tiktok-taylor-swift-beyonce-muse-streaming-quantity-over-quality-2024-7

Taylor Swift’s re-releases serve a dual purpose. After Scooter Braun sold her masters to Shamrock Holdings, she re-recorded her albums to regain control. This move not only cuts into Shamrock’s royalties but also boosts her revenue from new sales of vinyl and merchandise. The article you posted indirectly points out is that this move is now considered pioneering and many artists want to join in on the fun.

The article says Taylor Swift’s album rereleases have drawn criticism by some who see them as a push to stay atop the charts. The article also says Swift has released more than 30 different iterations of "Tortured Poets" in the form of remixes, vinyl editions, cassettes, and first-draft phone memos. This album came out in 2024 so not related to Braun
