I don’t get the hate Canva gets from professional designers - I recently built some branded templates for a client with it, and I'm really impressed by the tool. It def has some clever features that save me a ton of time and make it easier for the client to work with the brand assets within set constraints.

it's not software I would use for concepting and detailed graphic design work, but it's perfect for streamlining the production of visual assets in a collaborative way.

Since I work mostly with startups, one of my deliverables is to "enable teams to move faster". Many of them don't have designers on their internal team, so brand design toolkits >>> brand design guidelines. Canva is great for that; it's easier to pick up by marketers or non-designers.
