does it happen also if you close and reopen the frame?

It doesn't retain the action updates from within one instance of the frame being opened. BUT if I close it completely and reopen it, it does update to reflect the latest actions, ie, my tomatoes are cleared and my radishes are in the ground.

As of now, yes. Still requires a close and reopen to reflect latest actions. If you're in a continuous sessions and goto the marketplace and buy something, anything you've already done will not be visually present, but if you close and reopen, it'll be reflected.
