𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐘𝐏𝐄!!! How does conviction even work? What’s hype? Which lasts longer? Which would last the test of time? Let me answer these questions the best way I can. You see, conviction is something that can only be built by you alone, meaning only you can be the genesis of your conviction, but hype, on the other hand, is everywhere, and hype don’t last. It may continue or last for a while, but trust me, it will fade.

When you build your conviction in something, it means you believe in it, you can stand for it anywhere, and you have made up your mind that that’s what you want. So far, I’ve built this conviction in Base that’s hasn’t been shaken, and until this day, I have zero regrets that I chose and will always choose Base. It’s just like what I have always wanted, I now stand for it. If I had chosen Base because of a hype, I’d have quit a long time ago. HYPE DON’T LAST, AND IT WILL NEVER LAST !!! Don’t you ever make the mistake of FOMOing into the wrong thing or the right thing at the wrong time or the right thing for the wrong reason. I’ve seen a couple of projects fail, and the founders are taking the HIT all because of HYPE. In addition, individuals in the web3 space as well who have joined a particular movement for hype or because of Hype gradually lost interest, and these people are found doing other things.

You ever wondered why a person shills you something everywhere and every time and all of a sudden they just go blank and lose interest. That’s the work of HYPE. I’m afraid some projects will be forced to go back and start building from where the hype took over. As a founder, hype will make you lazy. Hype will make you think you’ve accomplished when you’re just getting started. It will make you pause when you really need to put in the work. In the days to come, you’re going to see most of these things playing out and manifesting. What’s my take in all of these? Ask yourself these questions, What have I built my conviction on? Is it worth it? Have I joined this movement because it’s what I want or become of Hype? Am I making a mistake? Am I in the right place? When you’re able to answer these and you’re able to differentiate between your conviction and you following hype, then you will understand what your stand really is.
