3 would be my average 1 is only possible when you know someone. 2 happens when you work in that industry and stumbled upon something. 3 is Apple Vision Pro, trendy and in vogue. 4 is when you are unconvinced you need it. 5 is when you hate doing something new.

sometimes, 2 & 5 blend into a real love-hate relationship. thinking specifically to my time at [Fortune 100 tech megacorp] wherein I had access to the pre-prerelease demo pool. glass laptop? ok, I guess. black & white $600 smartwatch (released after several generations of Apple Watch)? ok, I guess. etc etc, lol.

heh yeah, I feels I write code for a living and every time I hear there is a new tool that does X better, i resist it for the longest time until there is no way for me to avoid it

cool to see you’re working on onchain chess - makes an extraordinary amount of sense IMO. chess.com = former client of mine, still pretty close to a couple of members of the founding team. (Well - haven’t talked in ages but still reasonably confident they’d take my call, lol) keep building! 🫡
