As the year ends, prepare for a flood of crypto predictions for 2025. Here's one not often talked about: a potential rekindled interest from generalist VCs in crypto. I wrote about this in my article (1/9) https://paragraph.xyz/@antidote/how-generalist-vcs-dropped-the-ball-on-crypto

Why did they disengage? Bad timing, regulatory risks, and narrative shifts. Despite technological progress immense technological progress and Bitcoin surging, many generalist VCs ceased to invest. (7/9)

Why might there be a comeback? With Bitcoin pumping, regulatory environment improving, and stablecoins getting mainstream consumer plus Web2 Fintech adoption, generalist VCs may be tempted back in. (8/9)

However, many generalist VCs are at a disadvantage because of thin portfolios, knowledge gaps and lack of networks in this idiosyncratic industry. It will be hard for many generalist VCs to be competitive. Not all generalist VCs are alike, some kept investing. (9/9)

A very interesting approach! One thing I think is missing from this article is the impact of this rekindled interest from generalist VCs on the market as a whole, considering its various aspects and dynamics.
