5 Why does it take that much time and money? The essentials can be taught in under a year. For the rest, there is no substitute for learning on the job. Even better, cut out high school from the education system. Replace it with two years of specialized training. Everyone has a role before they're 18

Ideally the student. They would learn more about different occupations early on so they at least have a sense of what they want to do. You'd still have some kids that didn't apply themselves, you may have to assign those

Interesting thought, although to me assigning roles seems like we end up with socialism. I think the free market does a good job in guiding career paths and it's the universities that put up fake walls to make kids believe it's the only way to get a high paying job of value, which simply isn't true. Wdyt?
