For June tipping, we're updating the algo to use social graph data instead of just engagement data. You still need 10k $DEGEN in your wallet, but no minimum posts are required. Rankings drop if you don't tip at least 5 times in the last 7 days. The algo will be updated on Tuesday.

2. So what's the OpenRank protocol?

OpenRank is a decentralised ranking and reputation protocol. Its used a compute layer for the open web that unlocks a broad range of useful applications, including those that resist cryptographic or game-theoretic mechanisms of trust.

User activity will be tracked via follows, recasts, mentions, and comments. OpenRank uses this data to calculate a personalized reputation score. This score determines the user's daily $DEGEN allowance, promoting active and meaningful participation in the Farcaster ecosystem.

So, what does this tell us?

If a user wants to increase their social graph, they should focus their activity in the app around their audience and accumulate actions such as Re-casts, Replies, and Mentions.

Users with inherently weak content and low engagement will receive a lower allowance. Improve your content!
