Say what you want about AI-generated images. What I see is an explosion of creativity. Today's teenagers will be unable to understand how we lived in a world so limiting, where visualizing what you had in your mind was so hard and so expensive.

The last 3 weeks have been the most frustrating and disappointing period of my time on Farecaster. My hub died, and I have not been able to set up one. Which may sound stupid, but wtf, I have been running my own hubs since we were able to run hubs, it's not rocket science. I'd planed to use the free time during holidays to try turn fc1.furl.pro into a frame -but it requires my hub to update the content. I wanted to do add some features to Frago -but it's hard to work without a hub. Instead, I've spent my days on hubble up/down/update, re-installing the VPS, waiting, and then all over again. Such a waste of time... 😢

Closure: I can't be 100% sure if this was the root cause of my problems, probably this combined with some other stuff, but this fix, which is merged in 1.18.0, seems to have fixed the problems! 🎉

Will the snapchain lower the requirements to run a hub? The current requirement for 4Cores/16GB leaves out low cost SBCs. In the early days, I was able to run a hub at home, on a Raspberry Pi, and an old Intel machine with 2 Cores and 8GB RAM. 

Being able to run a local hub on an RPi5, would be great news.
