silly goose

Romanticizing history falls to the same category as “the grass is always greener on the other side” as modern countries complete trying to convince their citizens and everyone else around about the “right” picture and nurture the “right” ideas; i've fallen victim to both ideas back in the day.. Can dig shit or build a nice picture, depending on the myth the author wants to spread.. “historical” narratives look cutier as they are perceived as more realistic comparing to superheroes in tights, so the society agrees to take these as role models. Yet every political system has advantages/drawbacks, and political “marketing” is good at highlighting the right thing.. Idk know why i've written this, it was just a sudden splash of obvious thoughts.

i compare it to fairy tales, where good and evil are strictly separated, with one side idealized and made innocent while the other is demonized. however, as you implied reality contains shades of gray. recognizing this gray area comes from being able to see both extremes I think
