A U.S. federal court has sentenced Indian citizen Chirag Tomar to 60 months in prison for orchestrating a cryptocurrency scam involving more than $20 million. Tomar created a fake Coinbase exchange website and impersonated customer service via phishing sites, gaining unauthorized access to victims' legitimate Coinbase accounts and transferring their cryptocurrencies.
