The cryptocurrency market has been sluggish over the past few weeks as a lack of price momentum has weighed on investor confidence. Price action has been volatile since the deleveraging event in early August, which is largely driven by technology (supply and demand). After adjusting for risk, the cryptocurrency market has been underperforming the U.S. stock market, especially since then, which has largely recovered its losses. Institutional investors remain focused on Bitcoin, with Bitcoin's market cap dominance reaching its highest level since April 2021 (57%).
