History of Venetian masks: Mattachino in the local dialect it means "morning", but the beautiful name does not reflect the owner of the mask. A masked hooligan threw eggs at women rushing about business this morning. Mattachino used a belt folded in half as a sling. At the carnival, only in this mask could one grimace and pretend.
