I Took a Photo!

/itookaphoto of today’s vibe on the @farcaster feed. The last-minute changes to the Degen Season 12 rules negatively impacted many talented artists and friends. When you combine that with an 80% reduction in tipping allowance, today has been max pain.

Degen has been a crucial incentive layer for all of us on Farcaster—providing funds to distribute to creators and builders who contribute to the network, alongside being rewarded for our quality casting. 

This whole endeavor is experimental, and we’re fortunate to be part of this innovative space. We create and build because we’re incentivized, but incentives are large-scale experiments, meaning change is inevitable.

Changes are essential, but their implementation matters. Transparency and clear communication build trust, while sudden shifts can leave the community feeling blindsided. Degen has evolved before and will again, and it’s vital that these changes strengthen the trust that makes Degen valuable, not weaken it.

I strongly agree with you @jonathancolton; 
it really has a negative effect on us, you talked about the pain and how hurt I was, when I was not allowed to claim DEGEN season 12. And how much this cast of yours gave me spirit and how much I got peace and I am very grateful for your sympathy. These changes in DEGEN really weakened our spirit, but your sympathy gave us a new strength. Thank you for your energetic presence in Warpakst.
