The photo chip manufacturers need to hash the image that comes off the chip and blockchain it. All subsequent edits have to be blockchained so a final edit is fully reproducible from the original + the chain of edits.
I've been thinking of this for ages. Unfortunately my dev skills are mediocre Python at best. Amazing and critically important area to be working in though!

I think for blockchaining the initial image it has to be something running on-chip that talks directly to the blockchain. I mean for people to trust it, this part has to be pretty bullet proof.
As soon as someone can fake that an image came directly from a camera when it didn't, the whole thing falls apart..

What are your thoughts on a software solution? Like a compiled app that blockchains the hash?

We want the solution to be available to anybody with a smartphone.
