The Moxie Community Call has me more bullish than ever. So many smart people building and so much excitement growing. Here are the sections from my notes that I didn't share during the call: 1. I am bullish for the main use case behind Moxie - fan tokens. I really feel like this is a paradigm shifting opportunity for web3 and social networking. Allowing creators and their fans to collectively earn together is something that’s never been possible before. Seeing the success community rally behind the channel and really lean into the Moxie protocol has been awesome to watch. 2. I think Moxie presents a strong path to growth for Farcaster. If more people knew that they could capture the value of their content and engagement rather than a huge corporation, I think they would take advantage. Degen was a major catalyst for Farcaster growth and I think Moxie can do the same thing. Some people might say, "But we don't want those types of people." I'll remind you, I was that type of person when I signed up.

The problem is that not everyone who is registered in FC understands what Moxie is, how it works, they have few subscribers, they are in spam and they do not have the funds to buy Moxie. Maybe it would be appropriate to introduce everyone via airdrop? Or will people just sell it and it won't help?

Monetization is one of the main reasons behind any social media app. Even trad social media scaled up thanks to people being able to monetize their content (look at Insta, TikTok, Twitter). No idea why people have an issue with that tbh, but it's super beneficial for a platform in its incipient stages, like FC. Especially once people figure out that they could capture a lot more of the value their content creates than when huge corps are involved.

thx so much for sharing! super boolish for what’s to come. the idea that we can support creators thru fan tokens & that we are rewarded for our content — it’s such a shift in the right direction. there are some things i’d like to see change a bit, but i love how the team is willing to listen & adapt :)
