– All channels will now have members and only members can post (write), channels are still public to read, no change to channel followers

– Channels will only have one, reverse chronological feed now that only contains casts from members, no spam filtering, mods can manually hide individual casts from members

– Members have to be invited by channel owner or mods (can have up to 10 mods now), owner and mods can also remove members

This feels like a measured improvement for hosts trying to find and encourage good content & discussions.

Will the allowlist maintenance be annoying? Seems manageable with 10 mods and a simple in or out option. 

I wonder how it'll work in more generic channels like this one.

Deep rabbit holes with PGlite. Already built one app that I'll release a tutorial for tomorrow, but number of ways you can implement this thing makes me want to do even more 🤩 So many ideas. 

Most exciting to me right now is created indexedDb instances with browser local storage. Really sticky for fast client side usage, but still have the ability to download it to your computer or upload to the cloud/IPFS with something like Pinata. I can't imagine what this could unlock for apps like Excalidraw or Obsidian that have file over app paradigms

If you have a mainnet ENS, /base names are not necessarily for you. You might want one to identify/reverse resolve Base-only addresses you control.

The unlock with /base subdomains is that reverse resolution can be handled for Base-native accounts. Also folks that aren't on mainnet or want to manage their presence with lower fees can now do that.
