A bookmark is a buy.

Assuming all those posts were onchain my tiktok wallet would be absolutely popping.

Never had more confidence all content will be tokenized and those who are early will reap the benefits

Then you realize to make this seamless you need anyone to be able to buy any amount at anytime.

You can only do that with onchain and liquid coin markets.

I’d highly recommend Bitcoin maximalism. Otherwise: tokenize everything. There is no inbetween.

Society if Warpcast was called Farcaster and Coinbase Wallet was called Base

Agree with this.

All of the go to market and messaging work that Base is doing is so much stronger if their main CTA can be “Download Base in the App Store to go onchain”. 

The more users Base brings onchain the better it is for all developers. 

It’s the exact same reasoning as why Warpcast should be Farcaster

Similarly people from completely different worlds that you’d get along with on some deeper level

Update: 
Starting marketcap on @zora is now $22 (~60x lower)

This includes:
+ Improving liquidity across the market
+ More expensive to snipe large amounts
+ More posts getting more volume (not just viral ones)

We'll keep working getting this as low and liquid as possible.

Here's a way to think about this:  

Zora is creating markets to discover the true value of content. 

Most pieces of content are worth non-zero but not thousands of dollars.  

So actually we need to get this as low as possible over time for efficient markets.

How are we making Farcaster easier to understand for new people

1. We're still considering rebranding Warpcast (back) to Farcaster. If we do that, will have an FIP. It will be controversial, but initial feedback from most developers actively building on the protocol is they are a supportive (with the goal of increasing users on the protocol). To be clear: this is not final /decided.

2. We rebranded frames to mini apps. This is a more literal name and in line with other popular ecosystems like Telegram. This is easier to understand for new developers.

3. We're gradually deprecating warps. We here this feedback a lot—what are warps and why do I need them—and moving most of the functionality of warps to USDC is much simpler (as well as being more composable).

4. We're working on cheaper / free sign ups. A lot of potential good new users churn at the $3 to sign up screen. Our goals are to 1) make it cheaper at the protocol for other apps and 2) free on Warpcast with a verification (we pay the protocol).

i’m pretty jealous of ancient philosophers

they really benefited from all the low hanging platitudes 

like damn i’m in competition against the whole internet for one iota of originality and they got famous for bangers like:

“what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” or “patience is a virtue”

This reminded me of a thought train in how generalizable proof of work mining is as a concept. 

A new territory, market or field opens up and doing the easy and obvious is super valuable in the long term. 

New thoughts and concepts are as easy as mining bitcoin on a laptop in 2010.

Trad finance will become more like crypto than crypto will trad finance. 

Just like traditional media had to become more like social media, not the other way around.
