To Vim or not to Vim, that's the question. Anyone using another editor cannot get the 10x badge. Except those using pedals for Emacs because you ran out of keys to keep editing your code. https://howardism.org/Technical/Emacs/kinesis-footpedal.html

Another one: when are we going to have an autocorrect on mobile phones that actually works? With all the ai invested in creating images, why there's not a single and simple keyboard to use it, that will fix all my misspellings?

A personal rant regarding my switch from Linux to Mac: I'm still not figured out how to move faster from one word to another using the keyboard because Ctrl + arrow doesn't work. I'm at my plateau of productivity 😆

Can we rant about UIs as well? Which is the worst UI that you have had to work on?

Trying to replace an UI with Figma and Flutter is a nightmare. Figma does not do any good job, and at the end of the day the product and dev team get mad :D

We're close to require a DNA or biometric sample to upload an app to the Google and Apple stores. WTF!??

Who would tell, right? "The scales of dual axis charts are arbitrary and can therefore (deliberately) mislead readers about the relationship between the two data series." https://blog.datawrapper.de/dualaxis/

This new algorithm could be used by DBs to actually count a much better aproximation for tables with millions of rows and get a much better estimate without having to use all the memory. Really cool! https://arxiv.org/abs/2301.10191

"Scientists have described a new way to approximate the number of distinct entries in a long list, which requires remembering only a small number of entries". It works for lists like words in a speech or cars on the road https://www.quantamagazine.org/computer-scientists-invent-an-efficient-new-way-to-count-20240516/
