I have never worked with as cracked a team as @base And I’ve worked for over a decade across teams, geographies, and industries. Here’s an example of why I’m so mega bullish on us: - @jessepollak and team woke up at 5:30 to get ready for a 3 hour Futsal tournament with 100+ builders where they won - showered at a nearby hotel at 11 and travelled 1.5 hours in traffic to meet two of the largest corporates in India - jammed for hours at these offices on how to bring them onchain - debriefed in the cab back to the hotel at 4 and got threads going - throughout Jesse kept sharing his journey on twitter - snacked on protein bars and ate at 5:30 - held a founder dinner at 7 with 30 top Indian founders - Straight went for the IBW after party at 10 - Had a midnight meeting with the Finternet team at Devfolio’s office - Launched Eth India’s website together at 12:30 This team is cracked and obsessed with bringing the world onchain. I met a D2C and an AI founder yesterday in Bangalore. Both run VC backed fast growing companies. Both are streamlining workflows to bring efficiency in their businesses by using AI. - They didn't care about what's possible onchain - They thought web2 and web3 should be seperate places. Very 'keep your cult away' vibe. I think we need to collectively fix this impression and actively educate founders and builders in our circlers with what's possible onchain. Onchain does 2 things phenomenally well: 1. It unlocks global access to capital instantly without brokers. Just basic capital coordination is global, cheaper, faster, and efficient. 2. Anyone can build on top of an existing data or logic stack. Allowing for vertical specialization. It may be non-obvious right now but both these aspects are powerful individually and are a superpower when combined. If the payment company giant they both use sees a billion dollar value in an onchain company, maybe there's some merit to the onchain economy afterall.

If chatGPT has taught us anything it’s that it takes one breakout application to fundamentally alter an industry and eventually the world. The onchain economy is looking for that breakout application. Polymarket is now mainstream and that’s led to a whole chunk of prediction market companies. Stablecoins make obvious sense especially in high inflation economies and that’s led to more and more countries launching stablecoins. But that’s just the beginning. If you’re a founder or builder looking to build in the onchain economy I urge you to think about consumer usecases. The infrastructure is ready, what will you build?
