My 3yo is at the swimming pool for the first time in about a year with mom and grandma. Another child we've never met, probably around 7 or so, comes up and gives him a high five and leads him to the children's pool. Now they're playing peek-a-boo together. Happy Dad Moment.

Parenting Milestone! 3yo and I have started to learn reading via this book (which he lovingly calls "The mmmmm book"). Doing it whenever he requests it, which is usually a chapter every two or so days. Today, he read his first three-letter words 😍

GM Farcaster! Sometimes nature gives us hints, or at least I find it convenient to look for them. I was originally planning to turn back earlier, but I saw this line in the road marking the old path in the new path and it seemed like a perfect place to use as a turnaround spot! This is my last childhood dog. We rescued him off the street, all covered in oil, right before I left home for Japan. Spent a few weeks searching for an owner before we decided to keep him. As a puppy, he used to lay his hind legs flat to squeeze underneath my bed. He became to big to fit after a while, but the hind legs habit never left. He passed away two years ago. Miss him and grateful for the time we had together.
