Strategy is focus by subtraction. Brand is trust by repetition. One sets the path. The other proves you belong on it. Renaming Warpcast as Farcaster isn’t strategy—it’s a brand severance. A move that turns an open ecosystem into a room full of innies, cut off from the story they helped shape.

Vote no on a company taking over the Farcaster brand name. If you agree make some noise seems like the door is closing. Is the naming perfect? no, but that’s a Warpcast issue. This reminds me of Microsoft trying to hijack HTML. Embrace, Extend, Extinguish was an internal strategy documented that leaked. How did that turn out? At least dwr is open about the strategy which I believe will hurt the ecosystem over the mid & longer term. Dictatorships are en vogue 🤷🏻‍♂️😭. A few of us have been pushing for decentralized protocol governance for a long time. THIS is why!!

Please please please create an app directory This is one of the user experiences- here I’m trying to install an app that I just wrapped in frame technology ❌😭 The others include: Oh what was it called?
