we’ve seen so many project founders drop tokens from their personal or project accounts under the guise of “experimenting.” they’ve built brand followings and they wanna reap the benefits [read: exit liquidity + token fees] and yet they also want the protection afforded by the blanket CYA phrase “just experimenting” for when the token inevitably goes to 0. but you can’t have it both ways without it looking like a cash grab. reputational damage is simply not worth it imho. “just testing” or not, you’re forever tied to that token, and more importantly, the decision to drop one in the first place. and to be clear, i’m not saying no founders or projects should have tokens, obviously. but study intent. study behavior. study integrity. there are, in fact, lessons in there.

i have a highly curated list of my favorite things on kauai. it includes hikes, beaches, restaurants, shopping, and general tips for being a good visitor to the island i call home. a well known NFT artist is using it right now and having the time of their lives. i’ll gladly share it with you if: - you have a trip to kauai planned - i know you or we have a couple good mutual who can vouch for you; and - you don’t share it outside your travel partners i don’t mean to gatekeep it, but also, i do. kauai is a special and sacred place and should be regarded as such. i’m also happy to answer any q’s anyone has about hawai’i at large. i don’t have a list for every island, but have traveled to each one extensively. have already helped a few farcasters plan some trips and happy to point more of you in the right direction.

last night i unintentionally saw footage of a guy killing himself on an X livestream. the news had just broke. i was scrolling the TL and came upon a short clip. before i realized what it was the gun went off. i felt numb as i ran through a million emotions. in a previous life i ran a nonprofit for underserved youth. i’ve seen a LOT. but nothing prepared me for this. i am sad for the man and his loved ones. disheartened at the state of the trenches. heartbroken at the lack of empathy. that instead of mourning this life, ppl launched tokens in his name. i’m not sure where we go from here, but i do know that if we don’t fix the casino, we are going to lose a lot of good people building the computer. ending with a recent reddit post titled “i left the cult” bc it feels fitting. worth the read. ❤️ https://www.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/1hyigsf/ive_left_the_cult/?share_id=h4RP61QIS7SykMaEQW8Ul&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1&rdt=42624

⚠️ IMPORTANT: if you search CA’s on dexscreener, scammers have a new way to spoof tokens ⚠️ Sam is a friend who works for Memeland and he did a post mortem on lessons learned from today’s PAIN launch. Read through point 4, where he says ppl who searched the legit CA in dexscreener were diverted to a fake token. This appears to be a new scam and is worth paying attn to since we ALL use dex specifically to verify token legitimacy. huge fan of this interview with @phil and the Early Morning Crew talking all things amps .fun!! TLDR: - amps is simplifying what Moxie attempted to do by paying farcaster users for amplifying people's content - it's in beta and will launch soon with registered accounts so 'advertisers' can hit the ground running - to start, users will get paid to 'recast' but future plans could incorporate quote casting, thoughtful replies, etc. - pricing is in flux but sounds like they have fun things planned to make it worthwhile - no need to be afraid of the signing perms authorized in warpcast but you are right to question 😉 thanks for putting this on my radar @gramajo.eth! @phil can i get in on beta pretty pls 🙂 register for amps in my link below 👇
