If you’re a big account, you might be asked to “coin your content” Why? Because people want to make money off of your content. No one has asked me to coin my content. Why? Because I’m not a big account. Maybe my content isn’t great too. Less followers, less buyers, less chance for price go up. When we’re talking about product market fit and content coins I think we’re far from it. This narrative feels entirely forced. Like 2018 icos. Maybe that’s how these things have to start, but there’s something about this that feels entirely misleading.

3 years later, I finally purchased a RarePass. RarePass was my first big crypto product when I worked in product @ SuperRare. You: Why did you purchase this? I have become very cynical about the crypto space. In 2014, I felt like we were all working together to change finance, to have currency owned and operated by the people. I don’t know what we’re doing now, but it’s not that and I’ve certainly lost touch with that ethos. Lately, I’ve just been trying to let go & have fun onchain. That seems to be working, but feels way less impactful and less sticky.
