I laughed so hard at this particular comparison of flower bouquets to big game hunting! One of my most prized childhood possessions was my personalized, autographed set of Jerry Spinelli books. He was the only “celebrity” I ever stood in line for! Just realized I have no idea where they are—and knowing they probably didn’t survive multiple international moves is breaking my heart 😭

I’ve been noticing that I’m getting sick more often than before, but at least I’m recovering faster each time. That said, the frequency is starting to take a toll—it feels like I’m constantly bouncing back, only to get knocked down again.

My friend just asked me to be her bridesmaid, and she went out of her way to create allergy-friendly boxes so everyone in the bridal party could match—including me. She picked out all glass and wood items, carefully ensuring everything was safe for me to touch with my bare hands. The level of thought and effort she put into this was so above and beyond. I don’t expect accommodations like this from anyone, but having a friend who instinctively makes space for me—like it’s the most natural thing in the world—has taught me what it truly means to be appreciated and loved. I’m so grateful to have someone who not only advocates for me but reminds me I deserve a place at any table. Feeling so loved today 🥹
