Unbelievably pissed off at Figma right now All I wanted to do is install a custom font for my project but for whatever reason, they don't support Linux users which is baffling to me. Spent all morning trying to install third party clients which are buggy, broken, and don't work. I love this app and want to keep using it, but how can they neglect an entire section of their userbase who used Linux on a regular basis??? And no, I refuse to go back to Windows. F*ck Bill Gates. This is complete and utter horsesh*t

This year, I'm going to find a legitimate way to make a sustainable income in web3/crypto. With a technology focused primarily around money and with trillions of dollars in the space, surely there's got to be a way to pull this off without resorting to gambling.

Sketching out UI for my pinball table. Gonna figma it and then bang out the code itself. Also need to figure out tokenomics. If you want to make serious dough in web3/crypto, the next 4-8 years are gonna be the best time to do it. Not gonna pass up that opportunity.

I keep reminding myself that every interview I do, every UI I design, every line of code I write is just one more hit against Moloch. Honestly feels like I'm fighting a massive Dark Souls boss as the Deprived class with nothing but a stick. Still, better to fight naked with a stick than not fight at all. At least counts for something.

Just gonna come out and say it: ethbros need to get over themselves. The division and copium in response to the recent Solana frenzy is... not great. As much as I love the community I've found on FC, it's too niche and insulated for its own good. It just feels like everyone here is constantly obsessed and waxes poetics about Eth tech, feels very ivory tower. Among desocs, most people don't even know FC exists. I constantly see blogs and outlets not affiliated with FC mention Mastodon, Bluesky, maybe even Nostr. None of them mention FC. If we want to have any sizable impact beyond our tiny village, we need to get outside of ourselves and connect with other web3 communities, better yet connect with people outside of web3 entirely. I need to do better at this myself. If we want normies to adopt, we need to stop looking down on them. Unless of course we want to stay isolated in our ivory tower. That's for us to decide.

The purpose of this research is to deduce why Discord continues to be a popular tool within DAOs and what features make it successful as a DAO platform.
