🛠️ WIP Wed- sorry, Thursday Video! 🛠️ Meant to cast this yesterday but was busy with Birthday stuff. Finally got the missions and light systems working properly. Getting the lights themselves to work was an ungodly pain. My code is a messy plate of spaghetti with too much Parmesan, but hey, if it works it works! Very pleased with the result. all I gotta do now is add the rest of the missions, add some other odds and ends, slap together a UI, and then I can start figuring out the Neynar stuff. I'll be honest, never been much of a social media guy. Never enjoyed using it. Even with a great community like Farcaster, I'm someone who very much likes to keep to themselves. Still, if I want to eventually make it as a freelancer, social media is just something you gotta do. It is what it is. I want to create a metaverse/social platform that doesn't work like traditional social media. No likes, follows, reposts or anything like that. Just people hanging out together in an immersive virtual space, something that people can use on any device they have on them. We should go back to the way that humans normally socialize.

I happen to lurk around the Sonic fandom and heard about this recently. Horribly sad. If you still use X/Twitter, I kindly urge you to get off for good. The place is an irredeemable shit hole now and the people on there are only becoming more and more vile. If you have a sliver of human decency, you shouldn't be on there. WIP Wednesday video: Despite getting sick, managed to get quite a bit done: - Set up the minigame so it opens up in it's own little window within the main game - Gussied up the minigame entrance for the ball so it looks really cool - Programmed the main bumpers so they change color and grant more points when all the candles are lit - Created myself a "test ball" I can drag around the map to more easily test out game components Looking to speed up development with this so I can get it done and move on with the next project. Got a lot of other mini-apps I want to build and don't want to miss out on the next wave of casters coming in with all the recent changes.

I have returned!!! Was terribly ill with a nasty viral infection last week, but most of my symptoms have finally worn off. Still have an annoying dry cough, but other than that I feel back to normal. Did manage to get something done on my pinball machine this weekend. Plan to knock out as much as possible today, so you can expect another WIP video this coming Wednesday. You all have an excellent Monday!

Been toying with the idea of buying a Steam Deck with some of my ETH. Been really wanting to play the remastered Oblivion, but my computer is pretty old and doesn't have the necessary hardware for a beast like UE5. Anyone own this console? Would you recommend?
