Roam is Joining Coinbase! We are happy to announce that the team at roam.xyz, The Onchain Browser & Search Engine, will be starting a new journey with @coinbase and @base. The cofounders of Roam (myself, @selfishfish and @jagra.eth are joining Coinbase to help accelerate the company’s onchain consumer efforts. We launched Roam because we believe that the foundation of the internet is evolving and becoming more open and permissionless. Our goal was to provide users with a mobile browser that was built for this onchain future. We are proud of the product we built and happy it was so well received by the community. We’re winding down the Roam app and joining Coinbase because this is where we can now have the biggest impact building products that support this new open financial system. We want to thank everyone who supported us throughout our journey with Roam. We are particularly grateful to all our early users who were willing to explore something new and provided invaluable feedback. Thank you!

Took the 3-year-old to a “safari park” in the UK. Surpassed expectations… Picture a farm on an estate on a rainy day set in the English countryside. Looks like a normal farm but with bigger fences - like the type used in school playgrounds. All feels a bit budget. We’re driving around and we see some deer, zebras and some alpacas. The kid’s having a great time. There a few signs saying not to get out of the car, which seems sensible given there are wild animals about but I’m not on high alert - figure we might see a giraffe or something We go into a field and stop by a pond. And then a massive tiger pops its head around a bush and comes within 3 meters of the car. I’m like holy f - thats a real tiger! No one mentioned tigers! Where the f are the park rangers with the guns?! The kid’s saying he wants to get out and pet it. I hadn’t even put the child lock on! I drive away before we become a newspaper headline. Some dude just basically letting tigers roam around their country estate
