It’s been a year! A whole 365 days casting in appreciation! Today I’m going to appreciate the amazing community making Farcaster a beautiful place! 

First, I want to thank @commstark   for creating the /appreciation channel and always being such a wonderful person that supports everyone around him. 

Secondly, I want to thank dynamic builder duo Alex (@ace)and Peter (@peter) for creating /perl, as it was what brought me over to FC. Many of you don’t know this but I participated in perl and earned enough degen to pay for my dog Benji’s medical treatments. He’s still around because of perl and degen

@jacek, although I haven’t been able to make a close connection with you, $degen is and will always be the OG coin of Farcaster to me and the main reason why my dog Benji is still around. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for building Degen. 

Melissa (@burrrrrberry) for creating /burrfrens and always being such a fun, kind, selfless human being and giving us a platform to participate in poker games. She is a ride or die equipped with a shovel in hand, so don’t mess her! 

@roadu, the bestest reply guy and also kind human being that always takes time to create meaningful comments and connections. 

@wellzy, we will never forget the selfless hard work you put in to help build the /lp ham community with your amazing and gracious ham cannons. Still, he works hard to give back to the community. 

@ring0 thankful for your constant, wholesome positivity and generosity! Seeing you always puts a smile on my face!

I think Farcaster is moving on from the Christian Rap phase (underwhelming product with great positioning and few listeners).

Now at Christian Rock.

MUCH better product with a couple of crossovers that will attract more listeners (a la Switchfoot, Thrice, POD, Skillet, Relient K, Anberlin, Kings Kaleidoscope).

Not financial advice—but at some point, there will be another bull market. When? Nobody knows. Could be this year, could be 2, 3, or even 10 years from now. What matters is surviving and building in the meantime.

Degen will be ready: listings on major exchanges, a great app, available across chains, our own blockchain, and a strong community. We just need to keep showing up.

Honestly, in this macro climate, a real bull market might not come for years—and that’s fine. I’m here for the long game. We have the budget, the conviction, and the builders to stick around.
