It's interesting how Ethereum community contributes here. Capitalism: effective but a lot of power ends up in private hands. You want to keep these people in check, especially if they control media (X, FB) or key software (Google). Communism: not effective, but a lot of power (theoretically) ends up in the hands of the people. In practice leads to corruption, and it's hard to keep the state in check. Ethereum decentralism: could be the best of two worlds. Power over key elements (finance, social networks, messaging) would be decentralized, so more in hands of the people than in capitalism. And we add transparency to keep everyone in check.

If you asked a Western businessman if he'd like to set up his company in Russia, what he'd respond? Maybe that there's a big opportunity there? Russian government would support his company move to improve their PR. He might reach all people he needed as Putin's administration would organize the intros. And they'd probably also help him make money by finding some good contracts for his company. But he probably couldn't sleep at night, worried that authoritarian government could kill his business any day. Now change Western businessman to dapp developer and Russia to centralized blockchains.

Memecoins can be problematic, but they’re here to stay. And if all of them were like Degen, our world would be much brighter. - Started with a fair airdrop, not cabal groupchat, - One year after the launch you can still earn free DEGEN for posting on Farcaster, so you don't even need to spend money to get it, - Community is still pushing to build funny degen apps with it. If you want to build a memecoin in as fair, and non-extractive manner as possible, this is the way.

Bullish on WC wallet. Imagine you just got onboarded to Warpcast, and after a week of posting, you get 10 USDC or $20 worth of DEGEN. Might be a pretty magical experience and a great onboarding engine.

Crypto users have the 'I want to send someone money but I don't want to type in the address' problem. It's currently solved by ENS but could be solved by Farcaster. Even if FC pays some $ for each subdomain, it will be much less than all users paying for vanilla ENS domains. So it could be seen as a threat.
