sadly, today i have cancelled my neynar subscription my open and free farcaster hub has been shut down too all my bots that i've built on farcaster already haven't worked for a while because of rapid api changes that, frankly, i don't have time to fix a stupid tg bot i've built in 2016 (8 years ago) still works today because there weren't many breaking bot api changes smart contracts that i've written years ago are still up and running i'm not leaving the ecosystem just yet but it is difficult as it is to build something people want to use, moreover when you literally have to fight for these things to work repeatedly every few months i'm also demotivated to build anything on farcaster now because i'm afraid it will break again in 1-2 months

now, i've truly tried to overcome this by going slow and fixing @gpt first β€” i've upgraded everything, including github.com/BigWhaleLabs/botcaster (this still works btw) β€” and it worked! github.com/backmeupplz/farcaster-chatgpt was alive again... for like 20 minutes until it died again i don't want to spend any more time to keep trying to fix what happened again i could have predicted this when i built mfsa.cc, precisely when farcster ecosystem became overcomplicated first, farcaster decided to cater to clients as opposed to simple bots like mine now, farcaster caters to "mini-apps", again, as opposed to simple bots like mine the result is that whatever one doesn't nurture simply dies off you nurture 3rd party clients β€” clients pop up like mushrooms after the rain, you nurture mini-apps, they pop up like mushrooms but in this whole thing farcaster, neynar, etc, you guys are missing an important thing people don't want complexity they want to @remindme 2 days

I realize your pain, Nikita. I adhere to the strategy of "as few intermediaries as possible" between your script and Farcaster in this case. For example, why would anyone use a Farcaster frame creation framework? Some even use React. Although pure JS script for working with frames takes 100 lines of code :)

This was an eye opener read for me, as I have been affected with lots of the changes. Probably not as much as you've been affected, but you have a very good point with the stability. I think there is a bit of a mix here of things going on, and one is that FC is still early and it's probably trying out a lot of things. Ideally, anything that we build early, should have stayed as is without breaking. I've built a few frames and the earlier ones are just dead. What will you be focusing on now?
