If you heard the phrase, “we’re making stores wallet-aware”, what would you assume that meant? And why?

i’d assume stores would ask to connect to my wallet & that what i get offered by the store changes based on some characteristic of my wallet holdings/usage

Allowing stores to programmatically interface with their customers in a way that traditional payments systems don’t. Evolving from transaction to interaction. (I would argue that stores are “wallet aware” today - just over a very limited api that payment rails expose)

I would assume this meant your giving stores the ability to connect to wallets. Why? To enable a stablecoin payment and to collect data on the user based on their onchain activity. In the near future, you could issue a verifiable credential as a receipt too

You’re onboarding stores by educating them on the power of wallets, giving them a wallet under the hood and giving the easy tools for their customers to connect wallet and understand what those wallets are about

Either 1. An online store personalizing web pages differently depending on the contents of a customer’s web wallet (like Amazon does based on browsing & purchases) or 2. Dynamic pricing based on what customers of varying wealth can afford / are willing to pay Very different..

aren’t stores already wallet aware? do you mean digital wallet aware? If so, that would probably mean that the store accepts some type of crypto.

1. Stores now accomodate the use of a variety of wallets. Awareness of a wallet surely has some utility beyond being”aware” a user extension exists. 2. Are you sending me a plastic card to put in my wallet? I guess that’s okay but don’t know why I need it
