I haven’t done the automations part but with you on the monitoring part! I built this little widget to monitor my indoor Netatmo sensors.

I built a bunch of wifi sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, power consumption, etc., then added automations to act on the data. Some of it is silly, but some is quite useful.

Oh, I have all these things too. But the most value always seems to come from the simplest action of being able to turn my fan on rather than some Rube Goldberg IFTTT automation.
