I want to run a full node but am not sure about the hardware to buy. Ik there's a lot of resources but they are overwhelming for a hardware newbie like me. I'm looking for someone to hop on a call and guide me thru the purchasing options, where to buy them, and how to set it up Reward: 0.022 ETH or 50 USDC @bountybot

it really depends on your budget. let me share my experience. even with old laptop, i5-6300, 32gb ram, 512gb ssd is enough already. it only cost me like 150$. after that, you need to consider about the internet. sometimes, residential ISP works behind CGNAT which won't allow you to port forward.

opening port via port forward is essential to run your own node, or else your node won't be recognized as part of the network. if you don't have that kind of expertise, i can help you with that, but i'd suggest you to rent a vps instead, 5$/month is enough, i run 1 validator node with that.
