I like to help introduce or reintegrate indigenous and ancestral wisdom into our modern, often disconnected, culture and communities. I believe that building links between seemingly different things fosters long-term unity and open-mindedness. While not everything will appeal to everyone, having all choices available and raising awareness and acceptance for all beliefs and perspectives is essential for a better future.
Lah Hallah Maria, a Sangoma—an initiated Zulu healer—performs a cacao ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa.
A cacao ceremony is renowned for its heart-opening properties, creating a sacred space where participants can experience profound emotional and spiritual transformation. The natural compounds in cacao, such as theobromine, work gently to stimulate the heart, promoting feelings of love, empathy, and connectedness. This heart-centered energy facilitates deep introspection and emotional release, allowing individuals to access and process buried emotions with compassion and clarity. 1 reply
