this is a cultural moment, regardless of the pivot. the majority that voted the mandate want a normalization of economy, obviously there's an opposing financial interest. market goes down, popular approval goes up (so far), and elite pressure on legislators to defect grows exponentially. either way, it's on. but this is irrelevant to the actual challenge. there's a critical shortage of equipment for this revival, and it's not clear yet that private markets will capitalize this or reach the verticalized scale that consumers expect for cheap prices in a timely fashion. roboticist wage growth outpacing inflation may be a saving grace. unless that cultural moment is leveraged and focused. what does "shop floor leadership" look like through new media like vlog, livestreaming, and distillation of banter into bot socials? how does company loyalty get clout, how does churn get further incorporated? how are construction/EEs cultivated & celebrated ahead of the grid? feels like a generational opportunity.

jd vance speaking today at the a16z american dynamism summit https://x.com/WhiteHouse/status/1901987600639893511 some quick takeaways. longer form later. 1. energy is the foundation → ai, semiconductors, and manufacturing need abundant, cheap power. without it, growth stalls. 2. automation drives competitiveness → cheap labor stagnates progress. the u.s. must automate to scale, boost wages, and lead. 3. manufacturing and r&d must stay together → offshoring weakens innovation. reshoring restores knowledge cycles and tech leadership. 4. overregulation kills industry → excessive bureaucracy slows factories, infrastructure, and r&d. cutting red tape is critical. 5. deep-tech leads the future → america must dominate space, nuclear, hypersonics, and robotics to stay ahead globally. → bottom line: energy, automation, and deep-tech leadership will drive the next era of us innovation. https://x.com/i/broadcasts/1DXxyqnQROyxM
