I am obsessed with @keccers.eth (but who isn't)

and also the idea or inevitability of robot caretakers

in fact much of what I'm doing now is archiving my memory into AI-digestible formats for when mine deteriorates

it seems very taboo or bleak to bring these topics up (and of course @keccers.eth is like, that person kings o' ye olde times hire to whisper "memento mori" into their ears

but we need to be more ok with talking about the aging process openly so we can take care of others and ourselves while our minds are still sharp

one longevity discourse reframing (i think from jacob) that helped me was that people online overindex on immortality/avoiding death as opposed to just increasing lifespan, eg to 150 or 200 years

This is interesting content and is similar to what I have read in other places. It's similar to how people live in the blue zones, for example.  I was hit with one of the 4 horsemen in my 50s (cancer). Good to know that this man was also, but is still living at 100. I am fine now, BUT I don't have #6, which is distressing as I know it's very bad for you, and I don't just mean a romantic relationship either, but deep friendships and community around you. Not sure how to fix that either. I've tried, but it just doesn't seem to work. My closest friend is in the UK. Have another good friend in Finland.  It would be nice to just live in Europe. If you move a lot, like me, it's hard to keep up long-term friendships in a deep way, sadly. And others have moved away from where I am too.

I am perplexed by this @fwb talk. The idea that the exploration phase of the digital space is over and that the body is the new frontier to be explored seems hasty. In my opinion, both the digital space and the body still have plenty left to explore.

Intussusception

Introduction 

Intussusception is a condition where part of the intestine folds into an adjacent section, leading to a blockage. This can disrupt blood flow and lead to severe complications if untreated. 
It’s generated from two latin words 

Intus: within
Suscipere: to receive 

Symptoms 
- Severe abdominal pain: Sudden, intense, and recurring.
- Vomiting: Often follows episodes of pain.
- Bloody stool: "Red Currant jelly" appearance due to blood and mucus.
- Abdominal swelling: Tenderness or  bloating in the abdomen.
- Lethargy: Fatigue, particularly in children.

Risk Factors:  
- Age: Most common in infants (6 months to 3 years).
- Gender: Higher incidence in males.
- History of intussusception: Increases recurrence risk.
- Viral infections: Especially gastrointestinal viruses.
- Intestinal abnormalities: Conditions like tumors or polyps.
