NEW POST: Devlog №.14 — I'm suspending work on Handshake indefinitely — /beachfront will continue to exist but no new features/releases Decision was made roughly two weeks ago. I was saddened but ultimately feel it's for the best. I enjoyed spending the last four years of my life working to bring awareness, understanding, and excitement to Handshake via posting across Mastodon, Farcaster, Slack, and LinkedIn, and building in public. We have a LOT of silent onlookers who are aware of us and the tech but...they're also aware of how embarrassingly toxic our community is. Despite my endless optimism that *someday* we'll get our act together and move in concert, I gotta admit...it's gotten to me. These past few weeks away from Handshake has felt great.
