gloom
Channel motto: Life is pain, only potato. For sharing gloomy poasting, whining, abd complaining. The more apocalyptic or petty the better. It’s always darkest before it turns pitch black.

Rational people pick their battles against a powerful adversary, but if the powerful adversary can simply open one front after another at little to no cost, it’s effectively a sibyl attack. The besieged party is perceived by consensus as “losing” and pays the compounding costs of that perception, because the ratio of picked to avoided battles keeps falling so it looks like they’re losing more and more. If they score a rare victory, it is swamped out. This is not quite like a DDoS attack. They’re not overwhelmed. Their reputation is hijacked by a party that can do unlimited damage to it at low cost. I know nothing about Lisa Monaco or why she has a target on her back, but it’s clearly going to be hard for her to do her job regardless of how this goes. It’s a no-win predicament. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/26/trump-calls-for-the-firing-of-lisa-monaco-microsoft-president-of-global-affairs.html
