🚫 frametra.in is NOTHING without its templates 😠😠 ...but what issues does it solve exactly? it's farcaster friday so i thought about rambling a bit about why i've created it! 1️⃣ FRAGMENTATION OF FRAMES. imagine having to use a different app or website for each graphics template on Canva. couldn't be me.. 2️⃣ LACK OF MONETIZATION. Frame artists have no clear way of monetizing their templates. they have to build an audience, same as Notion template creators had to do before Gumroad. this naturaly leads to less quality and poorly maintained Frames. 3️⃣ POOR DX. to build a simple Frame you have to plug into a Hub API like @neynar for even the most basic stuff, and you didn’t even start your actual idea yet. furthermore, if you want to let other peeps use your Frame, you now have to create a special app that gives others access to customize it, then host + maintain the entire thing. "I just wanted to build a Frame bro.." so tell me, what templates do you want to see on /frametrain?

so what’s this “FrameTrain” thing and why does it have such a funny name you say? you can blame @vitalik.eth for that, his post in the /trains channel about some subway in Netherlands is the first thing I saw after creating my Farcaster account. ✅ for template creators, it’s git push git paid. At its core, 🚂 /frametrain is a git that anyone can contribute to. it comes with integrated @neynar validation & an SDK so you don’t have to write things from scratch — and the more people use your template, the more $$$ you get. eCoNoMiC iNcEnTiVeS? we got em. ✅ for the rest of us users, it’s the App Store for Frames combined with Vercel. it provides distribution and hosting, everything in a simple interface that hides layers & layers of complexity under the hood. users will never know the work that went into serving their fast, beautiful Frames! 👉 check out this 1m video right from the git repo: github.com/FTCHD/frametrain#-frametrain
