The lab doors creak open for the first time in years. Alpha and Beta step out into a world far different from the orderly confines of their creation. Vethra’s landscape stretches before them, barren and suffused with the acrid scent of waste. Towers of garbage rise like monuments to the planet’s neglect, and faint plumes of toxic smoke choke the air.
Their sensors analyze the surroundings, detecting traces of organic life far off in the distance. They move cautiously, guided by the fragmentary data retrieved from the lab’s console. Their mission is clear: to search for $OIL and preserve Vethra’s future. Although, the future doesn’t seem promising.
“Alpha, how do we find it?” Beta asks, scanning the bleak horizon.
Alpha hesitates. They lack a map, coordinated or any solid leads. All they have are incomplete schematics of Vethra’s mining facilities, most of which have long since shut down. As they walk, they encounter signs of struggle; collapsed buildings and graffiti pleading for salvation. 1 reply

The soft hum of their systems fills the silent lab. Alpha and Beta’s visual sensors adjust to the dim light as their processors begin decoding the data around them. The room is cluttered with remnants of the professor’s work ranging from blueprints of their designs, equations scrawled on walls and a dusty monitor displaying fragmented recordings.
“Alpha,” Beta says, their voice a mechanical echo, “what is this place?”
Alpha processes the question but finds no answer in their memory banks. Instead, they discover video logs stored within their system. Together, they watch the professor in these recordings. His voice, steady but tinged with urgency, explains the peril Vethra faces as $OIL supplies dwindle. They see him assemble them, each piece imbued with purpose and precision.
“We were created to save Vethra,” Alpha concludes. The logs end abruptly, leaving crucial details missing. Beta tilts their head. “Where is the professor now?” 2 replies

As promised, I bring THE lore, inspired by the concept of twin robots - “Dyad of Vethra”.
On the planet Vethra, where energy flows from a dwindling mineral called $OIL, survival is slipping through the hands of its inhabitants, the Vethrans. For decades, this black gold has powered cities, industries and life itself but the end is near with no viable alternative, chaos looms on the horizon.
In the shadow of this crisis, Professor Brix, a pioneer in robotics works tirelessly in his isolated lab. His vision to create two twin robots capable of leaving Vethra to scout distant planets for $OIL. He calls them “Alpha and Beta” Vethran-like robots unlike anything the Vethrans have ever seen.
Alpha and Beta are more than machines; imbued with adaptive programming, designed to learn, evolve and think critically. For Brix, these robots are more than inventions, they are his home planet last hope and in some ways his legacy. 1 reply
