We'll be working on improving the docs for Farcaster over the next few months. We hear you on Notion docs are suboptimal (we've biased for speed in the past). As a reminder, we're trying to add the features that are still only available via Warpcast APIs to the docs website. global state is even more overkill than i initially thought tbh hubs replicate cast and reaction data across thousands of nodes. this provides hard data availability guarantees for much longer than that data is actually relevant i.e. a couple of days vs a full year – 2 orders of magnitude off! makes more sense for static data like social graph and profile info but then again it doesn't actually make sense to store social graph data on rented storage since the nature of the data is much more permanent

One of my biggest annoyances today as a builder of payments on Farcaster: Frames/Mini-App transactions spec doesn't support requesting (or switching) specific wallet to sign with! User's funds are not concentrated on a single wallet, but multiple! In some cases, you need to sign transaction with the wallet selected in a mini-app: - particular wallet has a balance - claiming tokens - cross-chain payments Overall, this leads to a bad UX: in best case wallet shows tx will revert, in worst - you have to refund the payment. cc: @dwr.eth @v

Three of the most interesting things built on Farcaster in a while are all accounts. @aethernet @superanon @clanker What’s neat is they operate on the most decentralized part of the stack (FIDs and casts).

Love to see the draft spec be on the offical webpage! https://docs.farcaster.xyz/developers/frames/app-frames thank you! additionally seems like naming around Frames from reading "App Frames are the successor of mini apps" I generally like Frames as name. Many associate everything with Frame already and Frame isn't degrading as mini is to the work a dev may put into the app. Additionally they are a clear naming extension of app. Oh you have an app? turn it into an app frame -> available on Farcaster.
