Farcaster finally showing the real signs of an actual social network. Discord and Envy This isn’t new per se it’s the earliest sign of a maturing network. When people start picking sides, when emotions override merit, when followers matter more than ideas, that’s when you know the space is growing. It means there’s enough social capital at stake for envy to creep in and enough attention in circulation for clout-chasing to thrive. And maybe that’s not all bad. Every maturing platform needs its friction: the envy, the rivalries, the blocks, the unspoken hierarchies. It’s the cost of growth. But it’s also a test. Do we let discord become the operating system, or do we push through it to create a culture where honesty and curiosity are still worth more than the performance of clout? Personally, I think it’s healthy that we’re seeing these dynamics now. It means Farcaster is no longer in the honeymoon stage, it’s entering adolescence. The question is whether we learn from the mistakes of past networks, or just repeat the cycle with a different coat of paint. Personal summary: Farcaster has always been a cozy place of love and support even if sometimes it’s faked, weird to finally see real traits of humans on the feed.
