they're easily one of the most talent teams in crypto building smart accounts powering apps like infinex, conduit, rodeo, crossmint, and more!

zerodev's support currently spans across 30+ chains with over 5 million smart accounts deployed and with this acquisition I expect this number to absolutely skyrocket

building user-friendly apps is one of crypto's hardest problems so I'm really excited we're finally deepening our pipeline with developers to help solve it

do any solidity chads know if EP 0.7 can support permit2 style swaps? Getting some mystery reverts, but they are working with EP 0.8 with simpleSmartAccount (but I don't want to use that in prod)

OK, now my AA hot take (change my mind)

We try to be pragmatic about adopting tools only when they solve real problems for us and so far haven't been convinced by AA. Gas sponsorship and ERC20 paymasters are nice, but the problems they solve aren't our main problems. So far we've been able to get pretty far using brute force and older tech, even when it's not perfect.

And there is a lot going on in the "behind the scenes" step above. Adopting an AA stack means more moving parts to orchestrate and more constraints to navigate.

For example, I don't think we could have expanded Wallet cross chain as aggressively if it had been a 4337 account from the start. To adopt a new chain today we need an RPC provider, data providers for tokens and activity, a simulation tool, and a swap provider. AA adds to this a bundler, a paymaster, and a smart account implementation. Plus the unsolved complexity of managing cross-chain smart account configuration.
