Starting today, members of DAOs using @votecaster can delegate their voting power to other Farcaster users.

This helps increase DAO turnout and achieve thresholds by delegating to trusted community members transparently.

New features:
🫴 Delegate your voting power to another Farcaster user
📔 View all delegations in a specific DAO
💬 Notify all DAO members directly via Warpcast DC (if you're admin)

Delegation is liquid, which means that if user X delegates to user Y, and user Y delegates to user Z, then user Z will aggregate the voting power of all of them. Creating chains of trust, called Metadelegation.

Brass tacks: The Haberdashery treasury has ~340k USD idle, and projects in the queue waiting for discussion and a vote. Our quorum is set too high for our current participation level. Delegating gives us the one-time leverage we need to reduce quorum to a healthier level, so we can get this machine started up again.

Quroum hit and I couldn't be happier,  last two months trying to get this re structuring done then to have it fail to hit quroum twice was very stressful, now we can finally get back on track, looking through remaining voters it looks like about 55% or so of current eligible voters haven't been on in atleast a week

1 vote left now, lol max frustration now with like 7 active members left who've not voted and the rest being unactives

Just like every other time we've hit a little bottleneck, we've been here before and we'll get this show back on the road

🚨 poidh dev update 🚨 

poidh is a proudly open source project that has had 1️⃣3️⃣ different contributors, but one drawback to that open collaboration was that the codebase for the app had become a bit messy

that is no longer the case ✨

I'd like to give a huge shoutout to @l0wlevelcr0w who finalized a complete refactor of the app's code via this pull request: https://github.com/picsoritdidnthappen/poidh-app/pull/288

moving forward, we'll be taking special care to ensure that all contributions to the project match the standards set forward by this refactor
