Bosco Verticale - the world’s first vertical forest - was completed in 2014, designed by architect Stefano Boeri. It set a new benchmark for sustainable architecture and biophilic design in the urban environment.
The scale of its greenery is truly unique: more than 20,000 trees, shrubs, and plants are spread across its two residential towers. Carefully selected by botanists, the vegetation forms a self-sustaining ecosystem that supports insects, birds, and small animals. At the same time, it improves the comfort of residents - providing shade, natural cooling, and noise protection.
Bosco Verticale has since inspired a wave of similar projects around the world - from Singapore to Nanjing to Taipei.

P.S. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a way to rent an apartment there and experience what it’s like to live in a garden a hundred meters above the ground. 0 reply
