i know there’s a lot of builders and independent creators on here, so i want some insight… i’m at a crossroads where i will soon be needing to make a decision on whether i continue on the 9-5 job route or double down on myself. (i have technically 2 jobs, but 1 of them may be coming to an end in the near future) during the pandemic when i was laid off, i ended up making the most money i’ve ever made in 6 months by designing graphic tees & masks / doing e-commerce. i worked really hard but i was working for myself and it paid off. eventually got burnt out and went back to the 9-5 life when i was offered my job back. this was when i was doing web2 b2b saas lol…ended up getting laid off a second time and that’s how i started working in web3. (it’s a longer story, but that’s the TLDR). doing that proved to me that i am capable of building for myself and on my own terms. i’ve always known that i’d wanna return to ‘entrepreneur’ life (but *not* making t-shirts lol) when time was right.
